INTERSCHOOL SPORTS INFORMATION
Mansfield High is involved in both Summer and Winter Interschool Sport Competition in the SOUTH DISTRICT COMPETITION. Fixtures are held each Wednesday, Period 4. Competing Schools include Mt Gravatt, Holland Park , Brisbane Adventist College , Cavendish Road , Rochedale, Clairvaux Mackillop, Christian Outreach College , St James, Southside Education College and Mansfield. District Premier Teams participate (where possible) in Brisbane Metropolitan Finals (including all South East Qld Schools). The School also competes in some STATE KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS outside school hours. These teams are not our fixture teams (but open to the whole school) - separate trials must be run.
Depending on staff and student numbers, the following sports are offered each year as Wednesday, Period 4 Interschool Sport.

Interschool teams will have priority in terms of selection, resources and facilities. Students who do not participate in interschool sports choose a Mansfield Activity Program (MAP) elective. MAP is scheduled during the same timeslot as Interschool Sport.
WET WEATHER PROCEDURES
M.A.P. IS NEVER CANCELLED. Wet weather rooms are allocated for all outside activities at the beginning of each Block. Staff plan alternatives in case of rain eg. videos, rules, lessons, etc.
BUSES
1. All buses leave at 1pm SHARP from Ham Road gate. Buses have signs to show destinations, drop off points, etc. Interschool Buses return by 3:00pm (except Cricket Bus).
2. Interschool bus money is collected by the Lower Office at the beginning of fixtures. Students pay approximately $35 up front (for the 14 weeks of Fixtures) to cover ALL transport, referees and venue costs - no matter the sport or venue - there is no refund for wet days . Some sports may occur an extra fee.
INTERSCHOOL – SPORT UNIFORMS
1. All Students in Interschool Teams must be attired in the correct sports uniform.
2. For some sports uniform sets are provided by the school and must be returned at the conclusion of the season.
BOYS AND GIRLS
SHIRT - Polo shirt with Teal side panels
SHORTS – Teal Basketball style shorts. School badge on bottom front left leg
SOCKS - Short white socks with Mansfield written twice around the top
HAT/CAP - All students must wear the school hat or cap.
SPORTS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Any Student who represents the School in a Regional/State or National Team is eligible for a Sports Subsidy from the P & C (25%). Forms are available from the Sportsmaster.
